I invite you to discover Amélie’s world—or rather, let’s discover it together.
Who are you, Amélie?
I’m a native Frenchwoman from Champagne, passionate about travel, cooking, and scuba diving… Currently living in Indonesia, my husband’s home country, I split my time and my life between France and Asia. Ever since I was a child, I wanted to be a schoolteacher; I made my dream come true and then created my own world!!!!

Can you tell us more about what you offer?
I’m the founder of “French Escape by Amélie,” an online school dedicated to expats in France. As a French coach, I specialize in supporting beginner learners, from level A0 to A2-B1. My passion is helping my students build their confidence and dare to speak French.
Why did you choose to specialize in working with expats?
I’ve personally lived as an expat and learned several foreign languages, which allows me to fully understand my students’ challenges and guide them through every stage of their learning journey. I support people arriving in France who are a bit at a loss linguistically, helping them become self-sufficient in their daily lives as quickly as possible.
How have you integrated coaching techniques into your support?
My approach goes far beyond language instruction: I’m here to inspire and motivate my students to step outside their comfort zones. Through customized coaching programs, I offer small-group classes, one-on-one sessions, and conversation workshops, all specifically designed to enhance their speaking skills and comprehension.

You’re not content with just being a teacher?
That’s right—learning French isn’t just about memorizing words and rules; it’s about building the confidence and freedom to communicate in French, no matter the obstacles. With French Escape, my students truly take flight, developing solid language skills and the self-confidence that allows them to fully integrate into their new life in France.
How can people find you?
I have a website and a LinkedIn account, but the easiest way to see what I offer is to subscribe to my weekly newsletter. https://mailchi.mp/frenchescapebyamelie.fr/join-my-newsletter
I try to provide added value based on current events or the time of year to best meet the needs of my learners. Most of the time, they’re the ones who give me ideas for useful topics to cover. If you have a suggestion or a question, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Here’s my email address: contact@frenchescapebyamelie.fr and a link to my website.
